The Heat of the Moment Series

These artworks are concerned with temporal moments of heat in time. The display or interpretations of the force of heat is the content of these works. The images are created without a concern for the abstract and equally never truly realistic. The painted images exhibit the generation and dematerialization of heat and light coincidentally. All the paintings are about the relationship of life and our strongest enduring source of heat and light, the sun. Fire or internal heat have their presence or metaphor, but it is the sun that rises highest, regenerates, and prevails. These works are visual interpretations of a natural elemental force that brings both life and death to our world.
