Emma Lake Waters Series
New for 2011
Content for these paintings surrounds an examining the the interface between water and land. I was resident artist at the historic Emma Lake campus of the University of Saskatchewan. Rather than focus on landscape and waterscapes around Emma Lake, I chose to express in paint the life forms and patterns in the waters. Imaginary creatures and life forms trace out the unfamiliar movements and patterns in their brief summer explosion of vigour of life.
Similarities and differences of the view so the microscopic compared to the satellite views of earth continue to fascinate me.
