Quilted Landforms Series for 2011

These paintings evolved from a the recent Blue Series of landform paintings. Man has a natural instinct to create larger forms out of smaller elements. Large natural spaces are divided up by borders into managable shapes. Over time thes artificial borders tend to dislolve and morph into a variety of textures and shapes. The unpredictablity and changability of surfaces over time continue to intrigue me.
